Faculty INSET · The Whole Teacher™

A quiet few minutes,
before we meet.

In a few days, our team comes to Hopetown for The Whole Teacher™ — three hours that belong to you, not to your to-do list.

This short check-in is simply a way to arrive. There are no right answers, no scores that follow you anywhere. It only asks: how is it, really, being you at work right now? Your honest answer helps us shape the day around the room that actually walks in.

🔒 Completely confidential. We never ask your name. Your answers can't be traced back to you, and no one at the school ever sees an individual response — only our facilitators, and only as one anonymous picture of the whole staff room.

About 6–7 minutes · best on your own phone.

Part 1 of 6 · Your Inner Weather

What's the weather inside you these days?

Not one dramatic day — the general climate of the last week or two. Tap the sky that fits.

🫀Your body
Tense, tired, running on empty — or rested and steady?
StormyClear skies
🧠Your mind
Racing, foggy, hard to switch off — or focused and calm?

❤️Your heart
Flat, heavy, a little frayed — or warm and open?

🔋Your energy
Depleted by lunchtime — or enough in the tank?

Part 2 of 6 · The Load You Carry

Teaching asks a lot of a person.

Especially in a boarding school, where the day rarely switches off. How often has each of these been true for you lately?

Part 3 of 6 · The Stories You Tell Yourself

The quiet voice in the staff room of your head.

We all narrate our own teaching. Which way does yours lean right now?

Part 4 of 6 · When the Week Gets Heavy

Which of these thoughts visits you?

Every one of us has these — they're human, not a flaw. Tap any that feel familiar when you're stretched thin. (Choose as many, or as few, as ring true.)

Part 5 of 6 · A Little About You

Just enough to read the room.

Optional — and never enough to identify you. It only helps us see patterns across the staff body.

How long have you been teaching?
Under 3 years
3–10 years
10–20 years
20+ years
Do you carry residential / boarding duties?
House duty, night duty, weekend cover — the always-on side of school.
Yes, regularly
Sometimes
Day duties only
Part 6 of 6 · In Your Own Words

Two open questions.

Only if you'd like to. These are read by our facilitators alone, without your name — and they often shape the day more than anything else.

What do you carry that no one sees?
What's one thing you'd love to walk away from this workshop with?
🕊️ When you're ready, we'll turn this into your own private Weather Map — just for you.
Your Weather Map · yours alone

Here's where you're arriving from.

A snapshot of today — not a verdict. On the day, we'll work with exactly this.

If anything here feels heavier than you'd like it to, that's not a problem to hide — it's exactly what these three hours are for. A confidential line to the Rosemounts clinical team stays open to every teacher through the year; you'll hear how to reach it on the day.

Save it as a PDF (or take a screenshot) so you can bring it on the day.

You can close this now. Nothing else is needed.
Thank you for trusting us with an honest few minutes. 🌱
